By avoiding the risk of overtightening, the gel removes the danger of permanent failure. On the opposite end of the spectrum, undertightening can result in slippage whilst riding. Seatpost no longer slips
I picked this up about a year ago and have been using it ever since, my seat post never moves or slips! The tube is pretty big, however, I wish they made a smaller size.

Works well, but overpriced
This product works well to stop seat posts from slipping, but the value is not really there. A lot of product is in the tube, but it's not something you don't need much of, so it will sit around for a few years.

Good to have around
Good product. Any application where something has to stick inside something else (bar con shifter, bar-end brake lever, stem/handlebar, seatpost/frame this will help keep things together!. Especially useful if one of the surfaces is carbon fibre or thermoplastic!

Essencial Carbon product
Grease was required for my carbon seatpost to stop it from making noise…. As you can not use a common grease on carbon fibre I found this was the best solution.
