Classic White Sidewall Tyres for a Classic Look

5

I was looking for a classic looking tyre to restore a 1987 Raleigh Triathlon and give that classic look. Great that Probikekit carries the 700x28c version of this particular model. It was shipped as soon as the purchase was done and received it after two weeks in NZ. Since fitting these I have ridden close to 300km on them. I'm a long distance cyclist who has done Audax 200 (and aiming for the 400 in the future), these Michelin Dynamic Sport may not be the best in durability if you compare it to Gatorskins, but having done 300kms I haven't gotten a puncture yet. I'll see how long these tyres will last... hoping to make 1k of mileage without flats.

Really fine for restoration.

I have modern bikes where I use Pirellis but the Michelins are great affordable tyres for my restoration bikes. Good value and look good for the price.

Easy to fit.

Easy to fit. Do appear to come up quite narrow for a 25mm tyre.

Low cost trainer option

5

Bought these to throw on a spare set of road wheels to use for the trainer. Slapped a tube in and off I went. (virtually) They are perfect, low noise, low cost and I'm not burning up my good road tires. Bought 2 just in case they didn't wear well, so far so good.

Michelin dynamic tyres

Excellent product, cheaper than in Australia. Postage was quick and cheap. It’s amazing how quick they arrived. I don’t know how others charge so much and delivery is slow. Will definitely be buying more. Highly recommend by Steve from Australia.🇦🇺👍

Michelin Dynamic Sport

Two years ago I bought a pair of these tires in 700C x 23 sizing. To finish another Peugeot PB 12 restoration, I recently purchased two more. The tires, with shipping, were keenly priced and they arrived promptly here in Canada despite the COVID slow down in the mails. Like the previous two, the tires themselves are Taiwanese in manufacture, have beautifully clean molding and are very nicely finished. I have yet to install them but will write again once done.

Dynamic Sport

I purchased 2 Michelin Dynamic Sport in white wall and in the 700 c x 23 sizing. They replaced 32 year old OEM Michelin TS 23s with Kevlar beads and were mounted on Rigida 1320 alloy rims. The order was filled promptly and the tires arrived carefully boxed and in excellent condition. The tires were carefully checked by me as some reviews had complained of sidewall molding defects but these Taiwanese made Michelins were cleanly molded and defect free. The wire bead on the tires and the close tolerances made for a tough installation. Rim tape was Velox and the tubes were Michelin Airstop A1s. The tire seated cleanly when installed and pumped to pressure without issue. Within a couple of days, the tires measured 22.9 mm in width at 80 - 90 psi. The tires ride very comfortably and have good grip. They are used on paved surfaces, chip seal and compacted gravel surfaces. The tread is a matt finish slick and rather sticky/grippy. My mileage is comparatively low but there have been no flats and no wet rides either. Conclusion: An outstanding value in a good performing tire for use by the casual rider or club rider.
