Great but one major flaw

Love the minimalist design, love the look of this saddle bag however there is one major flaw that I am surprised that I haven't seen mentioned yet. For me at least, there is a bit of velcro exposed when installed on the saddle rails. This has caused friction and rubbing against my bibshorts which has caused my shorts to fray and pill. For this reason, I will be looking at another saddle bag.

Great little bag

So I am a total minimalist so like my aero bike to stay looking aero without added fuss and big bags and this one is perfect. It has an inner tube, tubeless repair kit, multi-tool, latex glove, co2 canister and valve all stuffed in. It is a snug fit but there is then no rattling around and I have all I need for my ride. A 100% must buy and the service from ProBikeKit was amazing as normal. Thanks

Perfect for the minimalist

I like this saddle bag for it sleekness. I have been using it for quite a number of years and was thinking of picking up a second one in the event they discontinue making the bag. However, the bag is so well built and there is little to no wear and tear there really isn't a reason to. The velco remains solid and when I look at the exterior it looks great, it doesn't show any dirt. Because of the size of the bag you obviously can't keep that much... but that's okay. I keep all those things you don't use often. A road bike tube (conti), tacx mini tire levers, a C02 cartridge, and a multi-tool. That's pretty much maxed out. Access to the pouch on the road is not that easy. You have to take off the bag off because of the design. The velco strap wraps under the bag to give it support when you attach it to your seat. However, things you need often should always go into your jersey pocket. Positives + Look's great, it doesn't look bulky under your saddle. Of course, no saddle bag is optimum but in the real world that doesn't happen unless you are a sponsored rider with a team car following you. + Build quality is excellent. Dirt washes clean off, velcro and zippers work phenomenally. Little signs of wear and tear it is surprising. + It attaches solidly to the seat. No bouncing. + For the minimalist, the bag holds only what you need. + Has a reflective loop strip which you could clip something to. I just tested it and it works, though I'm not sure if I would want to do that. Most decent rear lights attach to the seat post (e.g. Bontragar, Garmin Varia, etc.) + Cost. It's not expensive at all! Negatives - Size (but this could be a positive .. it really depends what you are trying to achieve. Do you want it to hold everything or look great and just hold the bare minimum?) - Not waterproof (I don't think there are many on the market that are). Just be sure after you are caught in the rain to empty out the contents and let the bag dry. I keep my multi tool and tube in a ziplock bag in the pouch. Don't want my multi tool rusting. - You have to take the saddle bag off to access the content. Many bags are like that, it's the norm. I've heavily researched saddle bags and gone through a couple. Without a doubt I would pick this over and over again.

Well made but small!!

The Lezyne Road Caddy is a very well made under-saddle pouch, the build quality is second to none and the design is excellent. The pouch is of a clamshell design with a wide velcro strap which attaches the pouch to the underside of your saddle. The velcro wraps around the bottom of the pouch to keep it very secure to the saddle and the side of the pouch that touches the saddle rails is made from a very hardwearing, almost rubber-like material. Inside the pouch there isn't much to spek of, a main area with a small neoprene flap to hold small items. The elephant in the room here is that, if you stick an inner tube in the main pouch, you hardly have room for anything else. I have opted to keep my inner tube out of there and currently have the following stored within. Topeak multitool with chain breaker, pair of disposable gloves, C02 inflator with two canisters, 2 x tyre levers, 4 x zip ties and patch kit. I guess thats quite a lot without the inner tube. Apart from that there is a reflective stripe on the back which is only stitched down at either end, so you can use the stripe to mount your rear LED if it has a belt clip style fitting. I was very impressed with the quality of the road caddy, the only minor issue is the size but, if you are aware of this the pouch is really excellent otherwise.

Its great!

Its small and compact. Excellent quality. No concerns that it will fall off and doesnt rattle.
